CRUSHED!!

Rumor has it this is my 65th blog...Oddly enough, it's been written but not posted for almost two weeks! I have not taken the time to even send this to my editor (poor editor, she never gets to proof). I'm stuck on level 65 in candy crush and it's sucking the life out of me! (I'm not giving you the link b/c I'm saving your soul). I just thought that maybe just maybe if I pass the blog mark, I can pass the crush!

ANNNNYYYYWHOOOOO

This summer we have had back to back to back to back to back shows. We were traveling and doing markets! Coco declared a time out!
I have sadly been neglecting two very important things in my life. Things that I don't get to enjoy year around, so I need to use my time together wisely!

I'm in desperate need of some pool time! I don't think anyone will ever say, I wish I spent less time by the pool!  It's just not gonna happen! At least not in my world! (FYI: I use sunblock and lay out under an umbrella)

I also need to tame the shrew...well tame my garden!

Where's Coco? Can you see my mass of almost 6ft tall tomato plants? FYI we had THREE red tomatoes so it's looking like BLT in our very near future!

This year is the first time I've actually grown cucumbers. I've planted them for a couple years but they are totally out of control now!

NINE on our first pick! Sis found most of these! I think that's the first time she has ever picked ANYTHING from the garden!

What is one to do with all these cucumbers? Why make pickles of course!

Mama found this recipe on facebook. The picture and the recipe are both from
My Blessed Life.

How To Make Icebox Pickles

  • 6 cups sliced, unpeeled cucumbers
  • 1 cup sliced red onion
  • 1 cup sliced green bell pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon celery seed
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar
Combine all ingredients in a glass jar or crock.  Cover with water and refrigerate.  You can eat them immediately, but I will tell you that the pickles are much, much tastier if you let them sit in the refrigerator for a few weeks. They will keep up to 3 months in the fridge.
It seems easy enough, even more me!

My first, "OH CRAP" moment came when I realized I didn't have those awesome huge glass jars. I already had it in my mind I was going to make these! I used two bowls and just divided everything in half.

My second, "OH CRAP" moment came when I realized, I only had white onions. I didn't think it would matter that much, so I just cut up the white!

We did happen to have some green peppers in the garden. I asked Sis to "Run down and fetch me some peppers from the garden". She rolled her eyes at me but did it any way! :)

I have a totally irrational  rational fear of celery! I don't care what people say...celery smells bad and tastes funny! It was with great fear that I added the ENTIRE tablespoon of celery salt.

I only needed salt but Mama wanted me to show you a picture of her "70s", I do love them!

We also added vinegar, sugar, and water. I didn't think I needed to take pictures?! You're Welcome!

I will try to be a better blogger but don't get your hopes up! :)

Mr. Melling: Why is New Jersey called the Garden State? Gracie Hart: Because it's too hard to fit "oil and petro-chemical refinery state" on a license plate?

Happy Almost Birthday Sandy!

HEEEEEE HAW

HEEEEE HAW! According to Korn News, Restyled Barn Sale was AH-MAZE-ING and AG blog totally agrees! I do have one tiny, itty, bitty regret. Something that I didn't even think about until I started this blog!

I should've worn a Minne Pearl hat! Price tag and all!

Here is a better picture of the hat/price tag! Actually, the other picture was more of the fried chicken. I've been gluten free for five years in July and I miss fried chicken! I REALLY, REALLY miss fried chicken. Which is odd because I only ate it once/twice a year.

ANYWHOOOOOOOOO......Let's get to the good stuff!

I finally have the Restyled barn sale pictures ready! Well some of them. :)

The vintage license plates sold pretty fast but everything else is still available.

We actually sold out of frames the pre view night! We had to come home and make more! Don't worry we plan on making more of each upcoming show!

We always and forever will have our hair flair. If you like them make sure to check them out at each show because we always have new/different ones!

We can't thank our wonderful hostesses Connie and Sasha enough for the fun market! Restyled is now located in Carmel Arts and Design district. Make sure to check it out!

Here are just a couple of the AH-MAZE-ING pieces they had at the show!

These were my faves! What is up with me? I'm now loving white and pastels!?  Insert some kinda sports reference, ummmm think hard Coco! GO COLTS! I do love the Colt's white uniforms with the bold accents of the deep blue...AHHHHHH HELP ME!

ANYWHOOO....How does Restyled get those AH-MAZE-ING colors?! It's all in the paint, Anne Sloan chalk paint!

Check out all these cool colors! I had NO idea there were so many!

I can't stop telling how much fun we had! I can't wait til the next one!

Our favorite vendors and good friends Roman and Sherry were also at the Barnsale!

Sherry is the brains and Roman is the mouth muscle behind "La Poire". La Poire is known for it's French/country home and garden decor!

This picture is the PERFECT example of French/country! I don't know why I'm loving chickens right now! I must have got that from my grandma!

I love that they added some a touch of the beach!

I would be VERY disappointed in myself if I didn't show pictures of Altum's Nursery. I spent the days gazing and admiring their awesomeness!

I know you won't' believe it but those frogs DIDN'T come home with me!

I love the high heel! I had never seen that before. AH-MAZE-ING

Angela with Unexpected Elegance was there with her goodness! She will also be with us at Horton's in July.
Oliver's Twist had some REALLY REALLY great stuff. At the time that I'm writing this their website wasn't working. If you want to stop by their store, it's located in Carmel at the Clay Terrace Mall. 160, 14395 Clay Terrace Blvd, Carmel, IN 46032 or you can call them at 317-569-8420

I LOVE these bracelets and necklaces from Three Angels Haiti. The beads are made by haitian women out of cereal boxes! CEREAL BOXES! You know I love a good reuse and charity so I have purchased many of these of gifts. THE MAKE WONDERFUL GIFTS! If you want more information or want to host a jewelry party you can email Melissa. I'm hoping to have some time this fall for a Three angels party!
